Guide to using Digital Art World

2019.07.29
PC Wing Co., Ltd.

section 1: Before using Digital Art World

Digital Art World (DAW) is a site dedicated to selling works created as completely new digital data.
The contents that can be sold here are paintings/photographs as digital data.
Here, a method to clearly indicate the copyright of digital data that has never existed before has been adopted.
This method uses ERC721 token based on blockchain technology.
Digital data and ERC721 token are linked and integrated as one digital content.
The art as data and the ERC721 token are mutually complementary components and become one content.
We guarantee the value of art by giving value to the content created in this way.
(The owner can copy the data but cannot copy the content itself.)
It is the first mechanism that Digital Art World can take the fundamental counterplan against copying that was a weak point of digital data.

(Important) Digital content trade in DAW

1.

In the time of create content, DAW does not levy both any system fees and fees for content sales.
In DAW, artists upload images and link them with tokens issued by DAW to generate digital content that can be sold.

2.

About DAW content sales fees and content price display

In the time of trade of content, DAW levys the content sales commission which includes 20% of sales price from the artist (seller) and 5% of sales price from the general user (buyer).

DAW site content price display includes these fees.

3.

About lower limit of content sales price

The content sales price should be 2000 yen or more.

4.

** Primary sale (first sale after content generation)
When an artist trade content with buyer, the artist can recieve the content sales price to the minus the fee charged by the DAW.
When buyer selected the payment by credit card and bank transfer, the artist can recieve the sales amount from DAW after the buyer completes trransfer to DAW account once.
It takes up to 3 bank business days.
At this time, the DAW will remit to the artist the amount after deducting the payment fee of 1000 yen.

** Secondary sales (sales of the content which was sent to the wallet outside the DAW).
When buyer open the original art at first time, we will levy only once ethereum equal to the management fee which is 5% of the primary sales price of registrated art. The portion of levied fee is payed to the artist as the artist reward.

Note) The artist reward is calculated based on the primary sales price because DAW cannnot determine the secondary sales price by the trade is happen outside of DAW.
The payment of artist reward in the secondary sales is not always possible due to the specifications of the external wallet that performs the secondary sales.

5.

About bank account for transfer at the time of registration as artist user

When you register as an artist in DAW, we ask you to register a bank account.
This account is required for transfering the amount subtracted the management fee from the sales price of artwork to artist by us when the buyer purchased content by either the bank transfer payment or the credit card payment.

The transfer of this amount is limited to banks in Japan due to transfer fees and the count of transfer days.
If you are an overseas artist and do not have a bank in Japan, you can also register works that only have Ethereum payments. For details, please check “Edit Profile” in “Section 4”.

In DAW, when the purchaser purchases the content by bank transfer or credit card payment, the customer's bank account is registered in order to pay the content creator the amount of the purchase minus the management fee.

However, bank accounts are restricted to Japanese banks because the international remittance requires high fees and long payment times.

If you are an overseas resident and do not have a Japanese bank account and you register as an artist in your DAW, you can choose not to use it in “Select Bank Transactions” and sell works that only support Ethereum payment.
